Are we all human ticking time-bombs?

Are we more than killing machines? Seriously, take a moment to consider our history of wars, death and destruction and what conclusion do you reach? Is this behavior the result of free will and human choice or is it hardwired into our DNA? Is it our fate to self destruct via war or contamination of our only viable environment on Earth? Can we choose to behave differently? Are we capable as a species of living in balance and harmony with the Earth and each other? Can we become something other than what we have been so far? Can we create the changes needed for the survival of future generations in a world worth living in? Or are we simply desperate lab rats caught in a perpetual maze of dead ends?

Have we learned any thing at all from history? Personally I seriously doubt it based on the current state of world affairs.

Shock and awe, anyone? If the blast doesn’t wow you, then think about the science of 405 billion years of active invisible toxic shock. Yes, the “bomb” is now invisible but its ability to kill remains.

Now we have drones so that we can kill anyone at a distance.  Is war what we humans do best? If we didn’t engage in war, what might we do with all our resources? Could we not have created a sustainable world-wide energy complex by now? We produce enough food to feed everyone, why aren’t those who have more than enough of food and everything else sharing with those who are starving? technology exists that would allow us to not pollute Earth–so why aren’t we using it instead of blowing the tops off mountains and polluting the air, water, and soil?

Why are we not living in a positive, productive, peaceful world? Are we incapable? Are psychopaths in control of everything? What’s going on? What do you think?
