Wow. This is bold and big shapes. Makes me think of the heaviness of earth. I would go nuts doing all those dots! Good work, Eva!

LOL–Leslie, I am soo relaxed when stippling that it’s all good! Merci.

Pointillism! Yes! i’m thinking Seurat here. theres also something of the 19th century woodcut by hokusai in this!

    • October 4, 2010 at 1:43 am

OH OH ECHO-Stains, sorry, just couldn’t resist that opening. Well, you’ve bull’s-eyed a couple of my favorite ‘influences’–Seurat and Hokusai. I wonder who/what you’ll target next. LOL.

Hhehe I’ve never featured Suerat – must remedy this:)

I love the plume of smoke (well that’s what it is to me)

    • October 4, 2010 at 1:45 am

Kirsty, it’s all whatever YOU find/discover! My son refers to one of my larger pieces as the ‘field of flaming slugs’–oh yeah. LOL.

Seeing your work reminds me of a description about light that I found paradoxical and attractive. How can something be both a particle and a wave simultaneously? That’s what I like about art…it makes sense on its own terms.

    • October 4, 2010 at 1:46 am

Artistatexito—I really really really like your partical and wave concept. Oh yes, I do. Thank you.

so much like how you use the dots. I also see under the earth roots and caves.

    • October 4, 2010 at 1:48 am

Thank you clegrboi. I would be surprised if you did not ‘see under the earth roots and caves.’ As a land artist I expect you would make many connections between my ”dots” and your land art. Very cool.

Is there a face in the ground, say of Mother Earth? Love the flow and the dots.

    • October 5, 2010 at 6:00 pm

Hi Lynn, well, yes, there could definitely be a face in the ground. Thank you.
