The Indigenous Environmental Network has posted the dates and locations of public hearings regarding the Keystone XL Pipeline. They have a great deal of information regarding the Tar Sands Keystone XL Pipeline on their site. If you don’t know what the fuss is about then learn what the Indigenous communities have been fighting. Their fight to protect the Earth is ours too.

I hope the pipeline gets built. The country needs to jobs, investment and less oil from regimes that treat women like dogs and homosexuals like rapist criminals. The US is already criss-crossed with pipelines (including two dedicated lines from the Alberta oil sands) I dont understand the hue and cry over this one, except that it is the ‘protest du jour’.

Martin Rison, if you do NOT comprehend the extent of the environmental impact then I wish you all the best when your drinking water turns toxic from an oil spill. Thanks for visiting. How is your crude oil evening cocktail agreeing with your intestines?

I can’t get to Texas, Oklahoma, Montana, but I can write.
“Written comments will be accepted by the State Department until October 9th, 2011.” This is all good information. Do you have
the address? I looked recently for Hillary’s Clinton’s (Sec. of State)
email address, but I was not able to find it.

I suspect that the oil company had something to do with the two sites in NE for the hearings….both are not located near the Sand Hills and those who will suffer the most from spills…those at most risk will have to drive halfway accross the state to reach the hearings…this whole thing is more and more a corporate-government whitewash. 😦

Was there ever any doubt, Charles?
Red flags everywhere!
Hi. Thanks.
