Let’s Dance! Create Positive Energy Mojo.

These are just a very few of my favorite dance things. PLEASE! Oh Please, share yours! Seriously, this is the ‘end’ of a long dark week of world events. Get some balance. Get some light. Get some positive energy going. Dance. It’s an art. It’s got power. Make the mojo flow. If your feet ain’t working do the finger dance. O yes, you can.

OK, finally I’m in a better mood to respond to this …
One of my faves – always puts a smile on my face – and again, Patrick Swayze, an amazing dancer. Here he was with Jennifer Gray in “The Time of Your Life” from Dirty Dancing

Also, a silly piece called “The Evolution of Mom Dancing” with Jimmy Fallon and Michelle Obama. Fallon makes a pretty good mom and he can actually dance!

And this – one of my favorite choreographed pieces of all time – from a show I love, So You Think You Can Dance. I cannot watch this without choking up – so, sorry, no smiles on this one. Called Addiction, it’s brilliantly choreographed and danced by Mia Michaels, and Kayla and Kupono respectively. The music is Sara Bareilles’ Gravity.

    Enjoy … Jeanne

Wow! GREAT stuff, Jeanne. We need Poetic Rabbit’s LOVE button now.
      Addiction is a wonderful dance.

Thanks for the Dirty Dancing selection. I was going to post it until I saw PS with his wife–and that was just so very cool that I picked it in case dance lovers hadn’t seen it.

      Fallon is hilarious! LOL.
      O+ = LOVE Button! 🙂

Oh I love “Strictly Ballroom”, especially the final Paso Doble. “There are no! New! Steps!”

Here’s a terrific Argentine tango routine in the official video for OK Go’s “Skyscrapers”. I understand the performers are instructors up in Los Angeles.

I also highly recommend the original Japanese version of “Shall We Dance”, although I have to say I prefer the soundtrack on the American remake.

      Oh this is wonderful, jamesviscosi!
      LOL–o yeah, New Steps!
I agree, the Japanese version of “Shall We Dance” is excellent.
Treats to Dennis, Tucker, Trixie and the rest of the gang.
Thank you for contributing to the dance! 🙂

This is only today’s choice, and I don’t much like the particular Mozart piece used for music. But I like the dance.

And I like this compilation of Rita Hayworth

Bear, feel free to share other dances any time you please.
I too like the Dance Theatre ‘dance’ you’ve shared. And well, Rita, of course. 🙂 Staying Alive! LOL!
