All Hallows Eve Musical Theme for 29 October 2013

Okay my friends, Bear, Willow, and Johnny,  this is wide open to music, films, art, poetry, self created works–whatever trips your All Hallows Eve Trap-Door just in time for Halloween–and the Days of the Dead too, if you’re so inclined to swing a noose that direction.  All interested parties are welcome to join in this little scream music festival. Just select six items, some of us can’t contain ourselves –or we just can’t decide between some fun and some other fun, so we go for all the fun. But, basically, we’re looking for a nice baseline of six scary pieces with some musical connection for All Hallows Eve. I hope the late, great, Mr. Warren Zevon’s song serves as an example to illustrate just one way of playing in this metaphorical graveyard.

PS. If any of you, that means Bear, Willow, Johnny have suggestions regarding ‘timing’ or content parameters, just blog up! 🙂  We can revise as we please.

That sounds fine to me I think we should aim to publish on Halloween. Also Deborah your input would be appreciated. 🙂 xxx

Eva This is a nice spooky generalized invitation. I like it. I like it.

Dear Sweet and Mysterious Willow, why not make it a double post? The 29th plus AND/OR another, OR if you like, skip the 29th and post later OR perhaps even a small series OR depending on personal circumstances just the one OR a 2nd OR more as reblog-updates? Johnny is anticipating his turn on All Hallows Day. Nov. 1, and I already reblogged Eva’s wonderful invitation which she already published. It’s gotta stay 29th. But that is not an official deadline. It is actually 29 THROUGH 31 during which you may publish as frequently as you like. We may also update and revise and delete for as long as we have a blogs 🙂

PS I asked Deborah, early yesterday, if she would like to choose a theme, after Johnny, before me. Haven’t heard back yet. However I was away for most of the day yesterday.

Roy, Dear son IV felt woozy, started to lean, flung his arm out to catch a rafter, but lost consciousness and so his weight continued in the arc and all 6ft 4in. of him landed face first … in his cat’s food. All afternoon-early night at hospital getting his face sewed up and doing all sorts of tests. All sorts of testing to follow next week plus classes but no driving for a while.

OMG I hope son IV is okay I have fainted like that before though I do not have so far to fall. Lets hope all will be good for him!
I am fine with 29th will do my best to deliver on time!! 😉

Bear and Willow, I’m on board for all of that. Especially starting on the 29th and adding and revising if we decide to just for the fun of it until Halloween. Or not.

As for Deborah, it’s her choice to join in when or if she pleases. NO pressure.. 🙂

As for Dear Son IV, please keep us in the loop, Bear. That sounds like a heck of a long fall. I hope it’s nothing more serious than something like forgetting to eat and a low blood sugar faint.

it is a long fall, especially as he didn’t crumple down, he had swung that arm up and kept going forward. Angels guided his fall as he could have hit much worse obstacles. The swelling on the side of his head and face is already going down, so bruising is stating to show some, though a lot is under his hair. The cat scan showed no cracked skull or facial bones.

Roy said he preferred to come to with blood pouring out of his cheek and possibly concussed rather than landing in the softer cat litter box which he was about to clean. Eeeuuuu . He has classes tomorrow. Various tests next week. Will know more in a week or so. Maybe. Oddly enough I think he is hypo-glycemic, which I mentioned to ER doc, however I had him eat on the way to hospital (who know how long we would be there? 7 hours it turns out) and then his blood sugar was elevated. sheesh. Glucose tolerance scheduled next week.

There are 5 family birthdays in November starting with my husbands on the 1st, oldest son on 2nd, youngest granddaughter’s 1st birthday on the 11th, and Roy’s on the 16. plus two sister’s in law. I’m surrounded by Scorpios. That Mercury image was nice break from Scorpio Land, just now, as my sun sign is Virgo and moon is Gemini.

        I’ll be checking in sporadically.

I’ll be a bit pre-occupied, even more than the last couple of months with Dear Husband’s heart issues. So please forgive me if I miss interesting posts. 😦 Even one of the dogs had a surgery and has lymphoma. And, you know, stuff. XXOO Bear

Bear, thanks for the Son update. Cat litter? Yuck!
Quite understandable that you’re very busy. Scorpios–ahhhh–let’s make a deal, as you can have ALL the Scorpios you want. 🙂 I’m not going to say more than that here.:) I’m sure there are some very very wonderful scorpions out there in the world.
Enjoy all the birthdays and much care for heart issues.

I’m going to shoot for the 29th. The next one is going to be a little more time consuming for me. Halloween is a busy night for me. I have 4 little creatures to dress and take on a 2 mile journey. That in itself can be scary. 😉

    • October 29, 2013 at 2:53 am

Scary–LUCKY be you, johnny. Enjoy all four creatures and the entire night.
