I’m Carsie Blanton. I write songs. I believe there’s a worldwide epidemic of indirectness, and I aim to remedy it.

Love is hard. Sex is fun. Life is messy. We’re all going to die. Our hearts are idiots, our wills are weak, we’re bumbling around fucking the wrong people and falling in love for the wrong reasons and pretending like we have all the time in the world to figure it out. My aim is to write songs that make you stop pretending, even if only for an instant. I want to wake you up to your brief, idiotic, miraculous life.

Carsie Blanton opening for Cassie Blanton–of course.  She’s currently featured on the sidebar directly to the  <=< left in the top seven music slots, Helen of Troy to Backbone with sweet things in between.

Under the weather –as in out of commission and snow plowed not coming down this street any time soon, plus, oops that was not such a good idea to eat mystery meal.  Yeah, I’m shoveling my way out of bed and out of the drive with nowhere to go but snow time.  Hey folks, I’m getting back here slowly but surely.  As long as saying so doesn’t jinx that.  Until then, grin, dance and sang with Carsie Blanton.  I’m tattoo curious as to which of her music videos on the sidebar trips your traps.  Yeah, indeed I am. 🙂

So sorry you’ve been under the weather and not feeling well. Hope you are well on the way to recovery by now.

I am loving her voice and style. Gonna have to leave this tab up til Monday when the house is my own private playground again and I can crank the speakers. Love Itches and Tugs but need more time to explore it all…like LOTS more time! She’s awesome…thanks for the new tunes to dig on! ♥

Stay in, stay warm and rest lots. I’ll go out and swish my arms at the sun…get it moving your way to help thaw ya out. We’re in the 70’s today…surely we can spare some warmth, right? 😉

Recovery–ha! I am putting in a demand for a brand new intestinal track asap! But really, I’m catching up little by little in blogland so at least my braincells have decided to co-operate. 🙂

Oh on Monday make sure you’ve got room to dance and sing as you move through the sidebar and if you go exploring on her site where you’ll find more tracks to crank. I think I now NEED one of those little music storage players so I can cram it full for away from puter times by myself.

YES! Pleae, send sun THIS way! Love it! Love it! Spare warmth, solar power come here please! LOL.

Hey Cindy! How are all things library and nature-wise?
      I’m making progress.
Carsie is such a find! So glad you’re loving her tunes too. 🙂

Too busy on the first and not enough time on the latter. Time will wrap that around. Glad to know you’re ‘making progress’ – hope that continues steadily.

Hey Deborah, have a good time with Carsie’s music. I find her very refreshingly candid. Thank you for your kind thoughts.:)
