On January 24 our long-awaited exhibition at the Carnegie Center for Art and History in New Albany, Indiana opened with a big reception.  I say “our” because this is a two person show featuring work by R. Michael Wimmer and yours truly.  The exhibition in entitled “The Potential in Everything” because both Michael and I utilize a diversity of materials to make our art.  While I depend on what I find at the river, Michael goes much further afield to locate objects that project a certain “aura” and associative power for him.  Following are some images from the exhibition which will be up until April 5.

My sculptures just delivered, Jan. 2014

I brought about 25 pieces that I had saved from the river and park visitors.  I have gotten into the habit of keeping some of my better creations for events like this.  It’s such a big leap first seeing the work at the river…

Hi Eva, MAYA माया is the theme I choose. Maya (illusion) – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Actually that word has lots of meanings. 🙂 I will alert Johnny and Willow, and Deborah and Kate, when you say “WHEN” today is the 15th. Is Thursday the 20th too soon? Then every Thursday thereafter. OR were you planning for Monday, February 17, 2014? In which case, we will do it then. Which ever you say???? Then every Monday thereafter? Unless something gets in the way, of course. MUSICALLY CRYPTIC DISAMBIGUATION we are CRITICALLY CONFUSING CRYPTICS or CCC 🙂 🙂

      Hi Bear,
It’s totally your choice for Monday or Thursday. Both work for me.
When is whenever you’re ready to rock and roll–or modern dance. 🙂

Thursday then. I don’t have it all put together .. was waiting., doing other, uhm, things.

I have taken your thoughts on herding cats …. seriously. to be polite I shal give Johnny, willow, Deborah, and Kate and heads up that WE are going to be posting Thursday the 20th, I have picked a theme of Maya (my my a lot of definitions and people with that name/word) and you will choose for the next week, Thursday the 27th, and you and I shall have some fun and see what else happens. O.K.?

When the snow melts, infiltrates the cracks and then refreezes does it make the leaks worse? I enjoy finding artifacts that have percolated up after a freeze/thaw. Farmers not so much….those rocky rocks. 🙂

CCC we are and here is the notice, which I shall attempt to copy/paste onto the other’s replies, somewhere. And we shall see.
Would you prefer to sign WhiteBuffalo instead of Eva? Or do you prefer Eva? How do you want your name signed, or would you prefer to not co-sign?

        Willow, Johnny, Deborah, Kate

As the musical themes idea has evolved beyond the comfortable reach of some of us, and for now, anyway, some of us again have access to the resources that make it possible to have fun with this sort of thing, I am letting you know there is a “new” version starting with the first “new” blog posting Thursday, February 20, 2014. Rather than Music Themists we shall call ourselves CRITICALLY CONFUSING CRYPTICS or CCC .

Bear has chosen the first subject (theme) MAYA माया which fits quite well with our handle. Eva will pick for Thursday, February 27, 2014 . We shall have some fun!!! er, barring unforeseen circumstances, which we shall detour around, again, if need be. 🙂
