Where The Unicorns Play ~ Anywhere They Want

WHERE the Unicorns Play—Ooooooooo in the wild forests of our imaginations. Yeah. Well, at least in mine.

Forests where the imagination lives to create.

Where do Unicorns play?

Anywhere they want, of course.

Like who is going to stop them? Hmm? Park Rangers?  The Thought Police?

Unicorns play in  The Magic Forest of the Mind.

music by David Arkenstone, “Magic Forest”

Unicorns play in dreamlands.

Forest Elves

my heart shall see light
hön’marën kena-uva kala

our hearts shall be forever
indönya ullumeá

go forth, rest in dreamland
nör’ande sëra mi lorien

i’ll soon be there
îm’eri ratö naya

Wait for me my love
larya nîn mëlissè

You know I’m here
le sinte îma sinomë

To join you in dreams
ána sama lemî oloorë

You have nothing to fear
le ar’uunèr ana kaurë

Fiery sun, begone
uur’anor wannëa

Moonlight, protect us,
isilme va’arya

Heaven’s star, shine through,
telume siila tere

Flame of hell, vanish
na’are utumno wanya

Lonely voice, cold and bare
erüma, helkàda

Wandering alone,
raanè ressè

Asleep, yet awake
lörna à’kuilä

Safe in dreams
Vàrna mi’olör

Shelter from the storm
türma ei ràumo

Believe it’s yours and it is.
Where would we be without hope?

    • March 6, 2015 at 4:55 pm

      Options for placements sans hope:
      six feet under
      sky burial
      green burial
—what other ways are humans often ‘rested’ ? hmm?
      Dark humor intended.

And you thought I’d disappeared. Ha! Still here. 🙂
So here’s my addition -The Last Unicorn by America. They once made a fantasy film based on Peter S. Beagle’s book “The Last Unicorn,” which, BTW, still holds a place – beat up as it is – on one of my bookcases.
Here also, is a link to one of the most famous (and medieval) unicorns of all time – from the Metropolitan Museum of Art – http://www.metmuseum.org/collection/the-collection-online/search/467642

Wow! This gave me some good places to begin my search for unicorns. I’m tired of people not believing. Hopefully I’ll snap some pics so they won’t have to take my word for it. Nice, Eva!

      Oh Johnny, you’re such a dreamer. 🙂

Am I dreaming, or is it really you?! 😉

        • February 26, 2015 at 9:10 pm

This could be a waking dream, but it is indeed moi. Having a crisis finding my way around blogland after ‘changes’ while AWOL. How are your unicorns? 🙂

Well it’s good to see you! My unicorns are doing very well. I’ve been on here throughout the changes and I still find myself in a crisis. I’m sure you’ll be fine. 🙂

            • February 28, 2015 at 8:19 pm

Ha, IF I can post this reply to your comment, Johnny, it’ll be an improvement on my efforts so far today. 🙂

So far today I have sat on my arse in the sun. It is quite lovely. 🙂 Good effort on the comment!

      • March 1, 2015 at 9:18 am

O so your arse is warm and toasty, is it? Hmm. Lisa, where’s the barbeque sauce? Johnny needs basting…ooops….I was thinking of the roasted zombies Dennis conjured up…never mind…
Hey, I AM getting used to the changes bit by bit as I discover what’s now what and where. Hmm. though for a time I got a lot of “comment could not be posted” boxes. I haven’t a clue and I’m flying blind.

This is it. Literally. I LOVE this version of “the place” we inhabit in our minds!!!! How can we really make it tangible? I think the songs you chose and the window you opened is lovely! ♡
