Right now the listens on the tubes of you are at 39, 124. With some serious paying of the joy sound forward by playing, I know we can push it to 80,000. Yes, we can. Let’s play the share anyway you can game starting now! Dance, sing and smile with Aldrey and friends–now. 🙂 Let’s have some fun. Come on– Connect!

AldreyMusicaAldreyMusica·

PS. If you listen on YouTube the closed captions subtitle option for English ‘works’ just fine. 🙂

Update: 6 January 2014 — 8o, 640 listens on the tubes. Let the music flow! LOL Let’s Dance.

All Things TV– with Music theme– Hey, there’s people in that box! How’d they get there? What’s that sound?

Music selections for “All Things TV” could go in so many directions that I’m dying to find out what Bear, Willow and Johnny have posted. I’m NOT looking until I get this post into my blogcasa.  Television is a medium with a great deal of untapped POSITIVE potential.  There’s been some over the years, depending on your view of reality–scratches head about those shows I don’t know why money and time is wasted upon when there’s some much great stuff PBS could be overflowing with–but for the most part, it’s hardly scratched the surface of what it could do. I think that’s why the internet is so vital a resource–as long as it’s UNcontrolled and Uncensored. Hmm. Yeah. We’ve got some problems on that score, Houston. Yes, this creates problem because you get the good with the bad–ooo sounds just like the choices in certain garden of Earthly delights…hmm. Okay, trying to keep an open mind is often a troublesome venture indeed. From personal experience I do know that the strange box can inform, educate and inspire the imagination by bringing new things into a curious mind without the means to travel at will. What you get depends on what channel you select–just like where you go in cyberspace depends on where your fingertips take you via the symbols on your keyboard.

I’m hoping that between the four of us participating in this theme spree that all our views are expanded.

As I recently shared with Johnny–just go with the flow–I’m sharing what flowed my way. Please feel free to share your take on Musical Selections for “All Things TV”.  Careful –ALL–covers a lot of territory. LOL.

To start off here’s some warm fuzzies for real via television–on-screen love story goes live. I could have selected a totally musical version, but I thought this works better for people who otherwise would have no clue what’s going here or why I’ve posted it.

“At This Moment” –I think the vocalist is Billy Vera.

Alex and Ellen —  Michael and Tracy

gillygill100

Yeah, it was odd, and very nice, watching Michael J. Fox fall hard for Tracy Polland on a television show called “Family Ties.” Considering his return to television as a TV personally with Parkinson’s this is a tip of the hat to him –and a media that usually wants everyone on-screen Picture Perfect. Maybe it’s finally growing up? Hmm. Yeah, that might be stretching it way too much for American television.

First there was MASH taking on the Korean War experience and then there was China Beach.   I think my son learned a few things about the world at large a little too soon watching this program.  It might have contributed to his ongoing perspective: “It’s all pointless.”  Not to mention his attitude towards the recruiters who kept calling on the phone via the No Child Left Behind agenda that provides student info to the armed forces.  Everyone was always polite –until he told them he didn’t want to travel around the world killing people and trying not to get his head blown off. Yeah, that sort of put a damper on their ‘get money for your higher education goals’ carrot.

One reason Why the Smothers Brothers Show was cancelled by CBS ~~  Or  ~~~ Comedy  gets the axe for finally going too far to be tolerated.  Pete Seeger sang and was recorded and was cut from the show already in deep shit for its political satire. I’ve included the Smothers Brothers’ interview for some contextual background information.

Well the lyrics pretty much say it all. I selected this particular video partly for the incredible energy of the performance, the views, the audience and the discussion after the song.  Also, the lyrics are uncensored.
Green Day “American Idiot”
Don’t want to be an American idiot.
Don’t want a nation under the new media.
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mind-fuck America.Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Where everything isn’t meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We’re not the ones who’re meant to follow.
For that’s enough to argue.

Well maybe I’m the faggot America.
I’m not a part of a redneck agenda.
Now everybody do the propaganda.
And sing along to the age of paranoia.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Where everything isn’t meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We’re not the ones who’re meant to follow.
For that’s enough to argue.

Don’t want to be an American idiot.
One nation controlled by the media.
Information Age of hysteria.
It’s calling out to idiot America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Where everything isn’t meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We’re not the ones who’re meant to follow.
For that’s enough to argue.

Extra video–barely qualifies as a music selection. Can you identify the music in the background track?

Trees & Forest musical leaves churning, turning and ferning.

Oh deer Bear,  this has been such a mind bender for picking music related to trees and forests. Once you get going with this theme you may as well be lost without a compass or sight of the stars at night to navigate by. There are so many wonderful tunes and images everywhere to enjoy. I got so ‘lost’ just enjoying The World Rainforest Festival scene that I forgot  my goal here for a time. LOL.  But seriously, folks, it’s damn clear that many people really do love the natural world and find all sorts of ways of expressing and sharing it.  I don’t understand how the big exploitative corporations get away with any of the destructive things they do at will with so many nature lovers everywhere to stop them. Perhaps it’s just a matter of uniting everyone and directing our attention on all the problems full force in order to create positive change for every living thing’s benefit? Mayhap.

Everyone is invited to share their forest and trees music and images here and over at bearspawprint where there are more selections–which I have NOT peaked at yet–I swear I’ve not!  If you decide to create your own post on this theme, please leave a link here or with bear to it! Let’s explore the interconnectedness of all things gleefully at will!

Okay, this will be familiar to those of you following the Breakfast Specials. I just had to include it for those not reading along who may have missed it. There’s just something about this collaborative musical effort by the Forest Elves that I can’t shake. So once again hear the Forest Elves original song, Cry of the Forest.
