Thanks to the Black Hills Clean Water Alliance of South Dakota for bringing this event to my attention. The  Clean Water Alliance continues to fight the Powertech Uranium Mining Company in South Dakota –>  http://www.sdcleanwateralliance.org/

The “Final” Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) issued by the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission for the proposed Dewey-Burdock uranium mine is substantially deficient. The mine, proposed by Chinese/Canadian company Powertech Uranium, would use 9,000 gallons per minute of groundwater from Black Hills aquifers, contaminate area water, and open the door for eight other uranium companies that have an interest in the Black Hills.

A Blank Hills Clean Water Alliance Press Release warns that the NRC has put the cart before the horse – they have published a “Final” SEIS – and chosen a final alternative for project design – before they have completed the cultural resources analysis. This analysis is required by law to be completed before this document was issued. The SEIS notes that the analysis is “ongoing.” This relegates the cultural studies to afterthoughts, and necessarily limits NRC’s ability to protect these important resources.

The NRC is accepting public comment on the Final SEIS in the form of limited appearance statements. You can make your voice heard – click here to learn how.

Protect Mother Earth, Stop SB 2109, Protect Sacred Sites, No Racism, No Foreclosures, et. al. March Rally Flagstaff, AZ April 28, 2012, 3 pm

Click poster for more images at Navajo Truth SB 2109 on facebook.

Now this is what an alliance looks like. Take note of all the interconnected issues and groups involved in this event. Some people are getting together for mutual support. Something tells me this sort of bridge building is not taught in The Huppenthal Mind Control School Plan. But taking an axe to the Ethnic Studies programs in the state of Arizona sure might have thrown some serious fuel on this bonfire. Protecting Mother Earth is everyone’s common ground. Unless, of course, you’re McCain, Kyl, a Bush, BP, Shell, Chevron, Trans-Canada, Canadian PM Harper, Kinder-Morgan, Enbridge, Palin — whatever will it take to wake these folks up? Oil spills inside their homes? Mandatory gas masks for everyone? Water rationing?
Not in Arizona? Then spread the news cause I don’t think this rally will be aired on CNN, ABC, NBC or Fox news unless it’s a 5 second soundbite IF the police crack open some pepper spray.

More on Peaceful Protest at One Police Plaza, NYC on Sept. 30, 2011.

Yes, there were thousands of sane, organized, focused people protesting at One Police Plaza tonight. The police remained sane and tolerant throughout the truth-telling. There was no pepper spray. No one was beaten. Thousands of people patiently conducted the “human mic” conveying the passionate words of every speaker through the crowd in waves. People representing social justice groups, auto workers, copwatch, academic union leaders and artistsand police brutalitywatchgroups spoke without interference from the NYPD. It was inspired and inspiring. There were over 6,000 people watching the livestream. If you can’t find this even on your evening news then call and request coverage of Occupy Wall Street. What’s next for the Occupiers of Wall Street? Surf into the globalrevolutionlivestreamto find out. You might catch a march, a general assembly, breakfast, film clips while the live feed is repaired, instruction on nonviolence and civil disobedience or just requests for food.

MIC CHECK!

I’d like to know IF anyone caught this on their News of choice. Thanks.

Gee, ya think the occupiers are onto to what this Trader is saying? What’s occupying your mind?

Well, now those folks occupying Wall Street–and “Liberty Park”–really have a point when they shout about corruption and greed on Wall Street. Gee, I think they’re onto something real. Don’t you?

I confess I have developed a new vice lately– it is watching the Global Revolution livestream and chat of  Occupy Wall Street that runs just about constantly with live footage or video clips when rest is needed. This media team works beyond the call of duty day in and out.  The feed content runs from the mundane logistics of showing the batteries needed for the media team to the increasingly interesting handling of the General Assemblies, complete with the creation of the “human mic” since the police deny them the use of bullhorn (yeah, that’s why everyone loudly repeats what’s said). And then there are the marches complete with police escorts deluxe.  The police are making the news all by themselves lately as there are so many people with cameras that if one person is arrested for filming, there are dozens of others there to record the event–and every face slammed into the street without provocation.  It took stubborn determination on the part of the marching occupiers to reach the Postal Workers’ Rally as the police blocked several streets in an effort to prevent the two groups from joining ranks.  When the occupiers turned a corner and saw the Postal Workers the joyful cheers were intense and spine-tingling.  An alliance was immediately created there in the New York streets.  One part of the 99% had found another part of the 99% and together they were greater than apart. More alliances are on the docket for consideration via the General Assemblies. “Reach out and touch someone” has a new meaning these days.

Take note that this is a peaceful and nonviolent occupation. Nonviolence is touted and mandated even in the chat stream. Violators are warned, cleared and banned. Hate is not welcome. Violence is banned.

This is a petri dish of community discovery and exploration of evolving ideas, thoughts and values. It’s incredible to watch it change and grow day by day–and nights too.  This is not the status quo—no, it’s not. This is something new working hard to be born.  This is America waking up. And like anyone who sleeps hard–there are crusty eyelashes, wild hair and dazed moments.  Where it’s going is anyone’s guess. But we know where we are and where we’ve been. New trails need to be blazed regarding human community–and this is one search for where to begin a new and better way of be-ing.  Like any brainstorming work session it’s messy and chaotic and crazy.  But then there’s the next step and the next until ??????  Who knows?

Surf into to “Liberty Park” and New York City at will:
