FEATURED BLOG AWARD!
Yi-Ching’s photoblog “waking up new” was the first photoblog I began visiting regularly when I first set up blogkeeping on wordpress. It’s not just that her ‘eye’ agrees so well with my own–as in, “Damn right, I too would click my camera at that sight!” –but also her engagement with her enviroment, her awareness of her surroundings that leads to seeing what others might miss as they walk along.
It was Yi-Ching’s photograph of a bold squirrel on a tree branch that prompted me to write “Mugged by a squirrel for a plum!” Btw, folks, that’s a true story that can be found in my blog pantry via the search option. I really was held up by one mighty squirrel while in California.
Lately Yi-Ching has been incorporating her poetry into her photo posts–and that’s a very very good thing because she is a very talented poetess. I suspect she’s a closet songwriter.
