Now for somethings entirely different from The Glass Child: I’d Like To Remain a Mystery, Stay, Creepy, Insanity, I Will Lead You Home and more from Charlotte Eriksson’s Music Box

Charlotte Eriksson’s songs will take you from the sublime to the darker depths of the mind. Take your pick and see what makes you tick. Ahh the joys of twitter where one tweet leads to another. Never know who is singing in those twitter trees. What a way to connect, follow, following, sharing, daring exploring. I didn’t find Charlotte Eriksson, she found me with a tweet. LOL.  I’m a little slow. but I am getting the hang of these things. If only my head was geek wired, ahhh.  It’s like finding all the cyber toys in the box one at a time and needing to play with each one by itself before moving on to the next. Oh, yes, I do believe the young Lady can sing, and write songs and play a few instruments too.  How ya all like that post title? Hmm? Let’s have some word play fun.

Media Team Arrested! Arrested Protestors MIA. SOS! from Liberty Park, NYC.

The people trying to maintain the livestream feed for news of what’s happening regarding the Occupy Wall Street event have sent out a plea for Calls to One Police Plaza to discover the whereabouts of arrested Media Team and others.   They’re asking people to call  1-888-692-7233 to find those who have been arrested.

Approx. 2,000 people in park. They’re surrounded by police to prevent marches. Nearly 7,000 WATCHING ONLINE now!

How much longer WILL there be ANY media coverage of this Occupation will be determined by the people of NYC.

Which America is THIS????

843 arrested protesting Keystone XL Pipeline while Gore tweets 2.2 million

Gore--TiME

Clicking the Time photo of Al Gore in his TN office ought to take you to his journal entry on Dirty Fuel.

So Al Gore finally found his blog and his phone–or his “assistants” did –and endorsed the Tar Sands Keystone XL Pipeline Protest. And it’s about time too. Gore has the power to draw media attention like few others. Come on, 2.2 million tweets! Where are those 2.2 million folks? Maybe they’re calling the perpetually BUSY White House phone line? Maybe 2.2 million tweeters are planning to tweet the White House? Imagine the mainstream media coverage world-wide IF Gore had put HIS body on the ARREST line outside the White House in DC. at the very start of the two week protests. Oh yeah. Would 2.2 million have followed Gore’s lead? Or would they just tweet to their twittering hearts’ content? I don’t know. BUT, I’d sure like to see it happen. Daryl Hannah got the media coverage flowing. What’s Al Gore, the man of Uncomfortable Truth, willing to do PERSONALLY? Why hasn’t he been out there with Hansen, McKibben, Hannah, the First Nations People and the youth of Power Shift?
Oh hey, Al, maybe YOU can call Ms. Clinton and get her to mention the protests to Mr. Hope and Change (not so far) Obama? Hmm? Come Gore, it’s a such a little chore for big fish like you in that D.C. pond. Seriously, no one cares what the like of moi does–but Al Gore–the man who had the presidency swiped from under his nose–lots of people pay attention to his every move. Come on, Gore, give us more!

PS. Mr. Gore, there’s this guy, Tim DeChristopher aka Bidder 70, in jail for disrupting an illegal land auction by bidding on land to save it from illegal gas and oil development, and well, Mr. Gore, Mr. DeChristopher put it all on the line to defend the Earth. Need I write more? Sorry, I don’t “tweet”

Sharif tweets while Amanpour snags big time.

Democracy Now!’s  senior producer Sharif Kouddous is in Tahrir Square. Literally.  He has been twittering about everything from arrests of Amnesty International’s people to warning signals calling people to protect the entrances to Tahrir.  John Muir is in a hotel room with the blinds drawn. PBS’s Maureen Wagner informs viewers that she’s been informed it’s not safe in Cairo.  ABC’s Christiane Amanpour found her way to the presidential palace and snagged an exclusive with Mubarack–a sure fire ratings coup for American television.  How’d she get that front row face to face while Al Jazeera’s journalists are hunted in Cairo? That must have been a real string puller if there ever was one.  In America the BBC News gets 30 minutes on PBS. Diane Swayer literally stands on a map of the Middle East. Talking heads are soaking up American television limelights from soft safe seats.  If you’re wanting in depth substantial news coverage of significant events beyond Democracy Now!’s intense one hour daily newscast–then Al Jazeera English online offers great coverage. Hands down, you can’t  beat the breadth, range, depth and high quality of Al Jazeera English across the board.  Yet, here in America–if you want to access their outstanding journalism you’ve got to do it ONLINE.  Well, I’ve been, am and will continue to get it online as it sets the pace  for any other news media service in the world.  Sorry, BBC–they beat the reporting pants off you every time I compare and contrast coverage of world events.  Still, the BBC crew could back slap mainstream American journalists right through a Dr. Who wormhole with ease.  There’s no “think thin while you eat junk food” malarky eating up broadcast time from the BBC.  Though I wouldn’t be surprised if there haven’t been tea time features.

Well Sharif has just tweeted that men are jogging around the square yelling “Leave!”–If you’re curious about what else he’s tweeting from ground zero in Tahrir– http://www.democracynow.org/blog/2011/1/29/sharif_kouddous_reporting_live_from_cairo_egypt
