Bread and Puppet Theater + “crisis bread” & “crying cream dreams” = Nourishment

In part to prove I still have a sense of humor, such as it may be, I offer some theatre and refreshments for your enjoyment.  Perhaps some of you will find Amy Goodman’s interview with Peter Schumann, founder of the Bread and Puppet Theater, as delightful as I did. Or not.  Schumann’s references to his own bread baking reminded me of poems I wrote for brulionmann as a result of his complaints about the state of bread–and cream– so it seemed like a great combo read meal deal.

“crying cream dreams”

cream? get real, brulionman

  brulionman get a cow.

 tie it to your bicycle

  hand school teats

seriously, get some finger action going

community uprising cream dream

cow eats sun

din din until day done

treat those teats right

milk, cream, butter, cheese

comes one happy cow

squeeze, squirt, squish

get a Guernsey with a babe

fill a bucket

set set set

cream rises, oh hell, yeah

no, no, no to piggy fat!

real cream needs none of that!

flour? does not compute

send that shit down the garbage chute

just the cream if you please

sweet talk some butter

tease the thick from the top

sip sip sip, can’t resist

drop it in a jar

get some bike dance mojo goin’

thirty tic tocs butter glowin’

pushing creamy envelopes

cheesecloth action play

guess what you got coming days

 cheese, glorious cheese

get a cow, brulionman, no bull

you want real cream

fingers gonna need some teat pull school

No, I don’t know how to get a cow to ride a bike!

You’re on your own with that, brulionman!

Some bread and butter from Yi-Ching

crepes & eva’s energy-scapes on the liberty square

Below Above

Yes, this is another effort at shameless self promotion–and not so shameless promotion of some great crepe creators at Crepes on the Square in Liberty, Missouri.  For some food porn vice not from Yi-Ching in the Big Apple visit –> http://www.crepesonthesquare.com/ . I do adore  their generous banana & Nutella crepes–crispy please! But  head crepe creator Barclay claims their sweet Lemon Curds are the best. This depends on your taste for TART! index. I confess I’ve got a thing for warm gooey Nutella with bananas thrown  in for the healthy fruit justification for food vice indulgence.  Okay, now if you’re roaming through the Kansas City metro area and desire some very affordable yum yum for your tum tum good eats and a very friendly atmosphere where you can even hang out and play with your email or google directions to your next destination, then keep on driving eastward on 152 highway (aka Kansas St.), through its intersection with 291 hwy and on into and past the residential area until you’re on the historic Liberty Square. Believe me, you’ll know when you’ve reached the square. It’s a busy place but without the congested insanity of the strip mall shopping area west of 291 &  I 35. It’s considerably calmer traffic wise on the Square’s one way streets. I can’t vouch for the level of calm in the courthouse or Corbin theatre or even in Crepes on the Square. But I will vouch for the delicious crepes, soups, and sandwiches created fresh when you order them–and in plain sight–you can even watch from up top on the second floor.  Now for an added bonus you can even take a gander at a selection of my energy-scapes.  “Ley Lines”, “Nirvana”,  “She Creates”, “Swallows Wing”,  “Holy Ghost Descending” and others are hanging on that  funky mustard colored wall.  So wander on to the Libert Square to catch some cool relief from the midwest’s broiling pan with some “hot” crepes and check out eva’s energy-scapes.  Affordable deliclious food and Art in the same place–what more can you ask for?

To read my Artist Statement, see “Wind Walking” and view more energy-scapes click on the sidebar image of “Void” under “energy-scapes”.  Enjoy.

Btw—Hmm, keep it clean if you care to post your ‘more’ desires (especially you, Yi-Ching, and your fellow dueler in food photo vices formerly known as The Tart of the Arts).

See, like I said, they’re friendly crepe-rs. Nothing to fear if you’ve never crepe-d before.

Yi-Ching’s views of NYC–Let’s stroll!

               FEATURED BLOG AWARD!

Yi-Ching’s photoblog “waking up new” was the first photoblog I began visiting regularly when I first set up blogkeeping on wordpress.  It’s not just that her ‘eye’ agrees so well with my own–as in, “Damn right, I too would click my camera at that sight!” –but also her engagement with her enviroment, her awareness of her surroundings that leads  to seeing what others might miss as they walk along.

It was Yi-Ching’s photograph of a bold squirrel on a tree branch that prompted me to write “Mugged by a squirrel for a plum!” Btw,  folks, that’s a true story that can be found in my blog pantry via the search option. I really was held up by one mighty squirrel while in California.

Lately Yi-Ching has been incorporating her poetry into her photo posts–and that’s a very very good thing because she is a very talented poetess. I suspect she’s a closet songwriter.

Check out her diverse collection of captured images of New York City and elsewhere at —->>>>>>>
