Are you a crepe craver?

If so and your abode is in the Kansas City metro area–the city squared by I -435, then you’re in food heaven luck because now there’s Chez Elle for snarfing twenty-six, yes, 26 different kinds of crepes at your leisure.  Simon creates the most delicous thin pancakies and fills them with everything from orange marmalade to smoked salmon, black forest ham, brie, nutella, lemon curd, coconut cream, and cherries & ice cream! You get the idea, right?

As if the crepes weren’t enough to bring you back for breakfast, lunch and an early dinner, Chelsea makes THE BEST DAMN chocolate eclairs in the entire KCMO area. I kid not. The chocolate eclairs are a baker’s dream come true from the creamy custard, to the firm pastry, to the decadent joy of the dark chocolate generously drapped over the top. OH YES! These are the best chocolate eclairs I have consumed since I was a wee one on the south side of Chicago–where real bakeries would never ever put underbaked mushy pastries in sight.  These Eclairs are made in house by the ever smiling Chelsea–who also bakes up some mean crunchy/chewy peanut butter cookies, scones, muffins and gorgeous fruit tarts. Everything is a meal in itself!

A fringe benefit is that the place itself offers a choice of sparse table sitting or comfy stuffed chairs on the other side of the kitchen. There’s bright vibrant artwork done by local artists on the walls. And there’s free wifii to boot! Plus, the staff is FRIENDLY!

Check out Chelsea’s smile, the menu and directions to Chez Elle, Creperie and Coffeehouse —> http://chezelle.homestead.com/index.html

Your taste buds will be sooo happy with you!

And don’t pass up the chocolate eclairs! You would regret not eating at least one (I’m on number 7 and counting) before your demise. Seriously.  Food is a medium for creating ART. OH yeah–just ask the Tart of the Arts aka Kseverny  at   http://kseverny.wordpress.com/2010/03/03/joys-of-slam-by-kseverny/comment-page-1/#comment-3173

The reptiles’ creed?

Oh would that be ‘murder, rape and greed’? According to Ben, it surely is.

We may not all agree all the time about everything, but it’s good to think about why we ‘think’ what we think  and how we act accordingly.
